FREEVIEW DTR : Why does my recorder sometimes miss the beginning or end of a programme?

In the transmitted signal, the broadcasters add start and stop flags in the EPG data stream for each programme. Your Digital TV recorder uses these flags to know when to start and stop recording.

Occasionally, overrunning coverage of live news, sporting events or other transmission issues may not update these flags. These situations are unfortunately out of our control.
