A purple or mauve screen indicates an issue with the HDMI communication.
1. Check your HDMI connectors are securely inserted.
If this does not resolve the purple screen:
2. Power off both your DTR and TV at the wall. Reconnect and turn on your DTR first, wait 60 seconds to allow the box to wake fully, then reconnect and turn on your TV. This should initiate a HDCP handshake and cure the purple screen.
